Body composition by body part, plus the water balance

The BC380 measures with eight contact electrodes using the four electrode method, at three frequencies of 5 kHz, 50 kHz and 250 kHz, and weighs up to 250 kg. The hand electrodes connect by cable, so anyone from a child up to an adult of 220 cm can measure with arms held wide.

Muscle and fat where it matters

Muscle and fat are reported separately for five parts of the body: left arm, right arm, left leg, right leg and trunk. That makes it straightforward to show an athlete or a rehabilitation patient what has changed in one limb rather than only across the whole body.

The extracellular water ratio

The result sheet reports extracellular water against total body water and grades it as appropriate, borderline or over. It is the reading that describes the body's water balance rather than its weight.

Built to be used by anyone

A 7 inch colour touch screen and a keypad drive an interface that needs no training. The foot electrodes are wider and set lower than earlier ACCUNIQ models, so the person being measured stands comfortably. Members can be registered on the machine itself, so results build up over time without a separate program.

Fits the equipment you already run

Data moves over USB 2.0, an RS-232C serial port or Bluetooth through the optional RCPORT-TD420 serial remote device. The manufacturer lists support for egym, virtuagym, myzone and MAT, alongside ACCUNIQ Manager for Windows and the ACCUNIQ Connect app, which reads the QR code shown on screen or printed on the result sheet.

Options

An SM104 ultrasonic height meter is made for this model and measures automatically from 100 cm to 210 cm. An ACCUNIQ automatic blood pressure monitor can be connected, with the BP500, BP210, BP250 and BP850 all supported, putting blood pressure and body composition on one sheet.
